Our Solar System!

Have you ever wondered if we are alone in this huge universe? If so, maybe today we may find part of the answer to that question. Now, please click on the following link: http://www.isabelperez.com/wizard/Solar_system_bonares.htm?ID=77967
Here, you'll find a lot of information and activities, but let's follow the steps. Good luck!
Second, what are the names of the different planets in our Solar System?. Use the different resources in my web to find them out. Then, name them.
Third, let's learn a bit more about these planets. Find out:
- Which one is the biggest one?.
- Which one is the smallest?.
- What's the planet with a hottest weather?
- Which one has a coldest weather?.
- What's the name of the furthest planet to the Earth? and the nearest?
Fourth, there are other elements in our universe which are not planets. Give information about the following:
- Satellites. Brief definition?. Say what's the most important in our solar system.
- Meteors. Brief definition?.

3.-What can you say about Earth? Is the planet where people live.
4.-Write five sentences about Saturn? Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun and the second largest planet in the Solar System, after Jupiter. Saturn, along with Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune, is classified as a gas giant. Together, these four planets are sometimes referred to as the Jovian, meaning "Jupiter-like", planets.

5.-What is a star, a crater and a telescope?

A star is a massive, luminous ball of plasma that is held together by gravity. The nearest star to Earth is the Sun, which is the source of most of the energy on Earth

A telescope is an instrument designed for the observation of remote objects by the collection of electromagnetic radiation.

3.-What can you say about Earth? Earth is the third planet from the Sun, the fifth-largest and the densest of the eight planets in the Solar System. It is also the largest of the Solar System's four terrestrial planets. Home to millions of species including humans, Earth is the only place in the universe where life is known to exist. The planet formed 4.54 billion years ago,[17] and life appeared on its surface within a billion years. Earth's outer surface is divided into several rigid segments, or tectonic plates, that gradually migrate across the surface over periods of many millions of years. About 71% of the surface is covered with salt water oceans, the remainder consisting of continents and islands which together have many lakes and other sources of water contributing to the hydrosphere. Liquid water, necessary for all known life, is not known to exist on any other planet's surface.
4.-Write five sentences about Saturn?
Saturn is the sixth planet in our solar system.
It takes 10.7 days for Saturn to orbit the sun.
Saturn is the second largest of all the planets.
Saturn has the lowest density of all the planets.
The average temperature on Saturn is -184 degrees.
5.-What is a star, a crater and a telescope?
Telescope: a magnifier of images of distant objects
Star. the topology of a network whose components are connected to a hub
Crater: a bowl-shaped depression formed by the impact of a meteorite or bomb

-Questions about the story:

2.-Who is Neila? Neila is an alien who lives in Fliptune
3.-What have Fliptune got? They have ice cream
What does Neila use to make light? She uses a wrong battery

Introduction
1)Sun.
2)There are 8 planets.
-Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars.
-Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus,Neptune.
3)It's an inner planet, and the third one more near to the Sun. It has a satelite, the Moon.
4)-Saturn has many rings.
-It's the second largest planet.
-Saturn has the lowest density.
-It's an outer planet.
-It has many satelites.
5)-Star:A huge ball of gas held together by gravity. The central core of a star is extremely hot and produces energy. Some of this energy is released as visible light, which makes the star glow. Stars come in different sizes, colors, and temperatures. Our Sun, the center of our solar system, is a yellow star of average temperature and size.
-Crater:A bowl-shaped depression caused by a comet or meteorite colliding with the surface of a planet, moon, or asteroid. On geologically active moons and planets (like Earth), craters can result from volcanic activity.
-Telescope:An instrument used to observe distant objects by collecting and focusing their electromagnetic radiation. Telescopes are usually designed to collect light in a specific wavelength range. Examples include optical telescopes that observe visible light and radio telescopes that detect radio waves.

Questions about the story
1)A mirror.
2)She is an alien.
3)Ice-cream.
A torch.

The big question
-It is our Sun and everything that travels around it. Our solar system is elliptical in shape. That means it is shaped like an egg. The Sun is in the center of the solar system. Our solar system is always in motion. Eight known planets and their moons, along with comets, asteroids, and other space objects orbit the Sun. The Sun is the biggest object in our solar system. It contains more than 99% of the solar system's mass. Astronomers think the solar system is more than 4 billion years old.

2)Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn,Uranur, Neptune, Pluto.
3)-Jupiter.
-Pluto.
-Venus.
-Neptune.
-Mars. Mercury.
4)-Satellites:A man-made object that orbits Earth, the Moon, or another celestial object. The Moon.
-Meteors:A small, solid object moving through space. A meteoroid produces a meteor when it enters the Earth’s atmosphere.
